Found this really nice large 13" vase/jar at GW this afternoon. It's Mexican Talavera pottery. The design of Calla lilies on a blue background is beautiful. The base is marked Talavera- Castillo (artist)- Mexico and has a small tag with numbers and also some painted letters. Looks like "CMX" probably the artist's mark. They have many artists who make these pieces and this is a signature piece by Castillo. I found the artist and some Calla Lily pieces on their website but not this exact vase. Not sure how old it is either, most likely contemporary. -Mike-

I love your postings...and your CAT! Anytime you get bored of the feline!
Thanks Moon... You post some incredible things. Your SA is like Tiffany's compared to ours...lol. Benji is a wonderful cat he's well over 20 years old. I think he is a Maine Coon or at least part. He belonged to my nephew but he couldn't keep him after my sister and her hubby split up. House vs apartment and all. I've had him for 5 years. He's still a kitten at heart ! :)
