I'm crazy about bakelite jewelry. Everytime I find something as simple as a plain bracelet or a necklace its as if I just found the biggest treasure of all times.
Green is my favorite color. So you can imagine I was over the moon when I found earlier this year this polka dot green bakelite bracelet for a few bucks. The dots are yellow and orange and they are a bit off center.
It was laying in a thrift shop under a glass counter and it was a bit hidden. So I immediatly asked the lady the price and I bought it. By sight I instantly knew it was bakelite. And so it was.
Thrift shop gods must have loved me this season.
I found the matching lovely green bakelite earrings just a few weeks ago on a flea market. Again for a few bucks.
These two must be amongst my favorite jewelry pieces for the moment. I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks manikin, mustangtony, freiheit and moonstonelover for appreciating my bracelet!
Thanks sean, valentino, vetraio, agram, drfluffy, phildavid and amberrose for the love
Thx valentino for your nice comment.
Its really nice, and i have wanted one for ages, but its only stuff. I never loose sight about the really important things in life. I wish i had some more luck there.

Thx DrFluffy,
It looks similar to mine. Here we have a saying that goes like: things are worth what the fool pays for it.
What a cool saying.... I agree!! For me, one of the prerequisites of collecting is that I have to get it at a good price!! That's the best part of it!
DrFluffy again we are on the same page. I love collecting, but for the right price. I never spend more than a few bucks on my jewelry. I have some exeptions on that rule, but not so much.
Ok going in a thrift shop and finding a polka dot bakey is like urban legend! Wow you are so lucky. You have a very valuable bangle. I would love to find a polka dot or even a carved one for a deal. I find the occasional spacer for a dollar but that is about it. Congrats on your find. You give me hope!
Scottydog, thank you very much for loving my bracelet! In my country not many people collect bakelite jewelry so that helps :-)
