The things women went through for beauty. I found two 1920's Marcel Acier French curling irons in the garden section of G.W today. The company made three size models A, B, and C, some were warmed by placing them in the fire and some were placed in an electrical warmer. The burnt coating on them suggests that maybe they were heated with fire. I don't even own a modern curling iron:)
Thanks Tony for the love:)
Thank you Phil:)
Thank you blunderbus, I just thought it was a fun find:)
Sarah, is it me or is Dave being kind of rude? Let me know what you think?
I felt Dave could go about informing others in a different way, and felt you were right in telling him so.
Thanks vetraio:)
Hello! I am doing a project for one of my classes, and I need to have photographic proof of this item (exactly) being from the 1920's. I have a heater that goes with these curling irons, and that has an exact patent date on it (April 17, 1923), but the teacher insists on having a picture of it in use. I was wondering if you would happen to know of any pictures of this curling iron or similar ones from the 20s. Thank you!
