Steiff's Perri the Squirrel

Perhaps the only movie-star squirrel in the world!

Here we have Steiff's 17 cm Perri the Squirrel. Her body is made from short brown mohair while her tail is made from longer brown mohair. Perri's hands and feet are made from double thick tan felt. Her black eyes are backed in white felt; she also has a simple black hand stitched nose and mouth. This sweet squirrel retains her monofilament whiskers. She is enthusiastically clutching a beautiful velvet acorn which is hand airbrushed with brown and green details.

Perri appeared in the line from 1959 through 1983 and was made in 12, 17, and 22 cm.

Perri was inspired by a Walt Disney documentary entitled "True Life Adventures". This film, released in 1957, "starred" a squirrel named Perri who faced many challenges and adventures.
