Can anyone tell me more about these two lovely porcelain boxes I found today. Are they old? What were they used for? They are marked Germany. They are a beautiful creamy white porcelain with what I think is brass overlay. One the lids are beautiful cluster of roses. They are about 3 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" diameter. Both lids and the bottoms have tiny numbers written on them. One the inside is a gorgeous hand painted floral design. Thanks for any help you can provide.
