Looks like the same one that I had as a kid (mid 1960's).
I was thinking it looks like the 1970's era Wonder Horse.
SMD, you might be right. The horse is the same as the one that I had, but there is a difference in the frame.
It should have a number on it's belly. That will better help to date it.
Found recall information: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml87/87061.html
I have one just like it. My grandmother bought it for me in the 1970's. My 3yr old is enjoying it now! I would like to find new plastic hand grips for it (one is broken) and one of the springs is a little stretched out. We got a lot of use out of it growing up!
My neighbors put a Wonder Horse on the curb the other day with a "Free" sign. It found a new home within 2 hours.
The 60's frame's were different, I'm betting the springs are too. Ours had the large silver springs that were not flush. Caught my fingers in there a time or two.
Carol, unless I'm badly mistaken , I think that Bicycle Hand Grips will fit these horses and you can get them at most Walmarts..............Springs may be a whole different issue but try EBay..... just trying to help.....
