I just thought I'd share our Clancy with all of you guys really quick! Long story short is that I am very allergic to cats. Although I have always loved cats, have never been able to have one in the house, and the only cats I had growing up were outdoor cats on the farm. My wife on the other hand had them inside for years, and all throughout our dating. My allergies would go off just stepping foot inside her parent's house. When we got married, she did so assuming she would never have another inside cat, and I was grateful she would let that go and settle on having a dog instead.
Well, I felt awful for it and started doing research and I discovered the Siberian Forrest Cat and their hypoallergenic properties for a lot of people. We found a breeder, did a visit, and sure enough I didn't have any reactions at all. We put down the deposit, picked out Clancy as a kitten in the first picture I've posted, and picked him up at 11 weeks. We have now had him for just over a year and I've never had any sort of reaction at all to him. He is a big boy, almost 15 pounds, and this breed continues to grow and mature until they are around five years old.
I also discovered that he is very smart. To date we have clicker trained him to fetch, stand, roll over, shake, lay down, wave goodbye, hop, spin, and on and on. To be honest he is more like a dog than a cat. He meets us at the door when we come home and he just overall acts like how you would expect a dog to be.
I just wanted to share him with you all, and spread the word even more than if you are allergic, you just may be able to get a Siberian Forrest Cat like I was able to!
Here is a link to his YouTube channel as well - Clancy Cam!

I've posted various videos of him doing his tricks, his first bath, and other stuff. Anyhow, thanks for looking!
Thanks for the love!
Love your story! I had two cats when I was little and I loved them a lot. One of my daughters is allergic to cats and so we settled for a dog. We love him too, but he is so much work!
Thanks for the love and comments guys. Thanks also to the admins here for moving it to another proper category as well!
He is sooo cute. And you are good man.
