Took better photos of this figure, maybe someone can tell me what it is made out of .. and what type of Chinese man this is ... I thought maybe it was made from alabaster , but not sure , If you know please comment. Thank you

This figure is not Cai Shen. The two Chinese characters in picture 3 translate Fu Star.

would anyone happen to know what this is made out of?
It is beautiful I was in Port Douglas two days ago & all the Asian ware there is fantastic. They had these blue & white vases that stood about 6 feet tall would look really good in any entrance hall way I thought of you straight away. They also had all these hand carved pieces from wood that were unbelievable. It all blew me away I wish I had the money to pay for some of it. Way out of my price range

I have the same.they are made from Resin type material.I will put mine in my collection pics to show you
mine is made from Resin.I see our base is different,mine sits on a plastic stand which is shaped like a wooden rosewood stand

Songwriter53 it's in North Queensland Australia & I'm not at Port Douglas but about 3/4 hours drive from there but the trip up is great it's got about 27 kilometres of coastal road & the views are great. The croc's can stay away though.

There is a lot of beauty here as most countries for me I'm happy exploring here as I haven't seen anywhere near as much as I would like. Exploring the region I'm in & everyday day even if I look out the window or walk outside I have such beauty all around me I wonder if I took some pictures that they could be posted on site not being vintage or antique if that would help show some of what I say. Not sure either way

Hi how are thing's going I was just doing Emails as I have a huge back log just from the last 2 days I noticed you may have found out what they are made of that's great isn't it nice to learn something about your items well I think it is. I hope you have just as much luck with anything else you need to know
