I recently acquired another little treasure from my Aunt. This little wagon is about 3 in. in length and the wheels turn. On the rear of the wagon it says Sydney J. Saunders & Co 54.St Mary Axe London. On the bottom of the trunk is a symbol. The left side looks like a 7, top under the circle looks like another 7, center is an R, right is a P, and bottom looks like an 0. Complete mystery to me as to where or when this came from. All I know is that it's been in the family forever. The detail on this wagon is amazing. I would like to get some info on this, if anyone knows something about this little wagon I'd greatly appreciate the help... Thank you in advance...
The mark is an English Registry Mark. You can look up the date of manufacture:

It's not a wagon, it's a hand truck laying down. Looking under the third photo it looks like a spot of solder may have been added, maybe to hold the trunk on?
It could be a promotional item for a moving or shipping company.
Very cool advertising piece!
Sydney J. Saunders & Co 54.St Mary Axe London, are listed in the 1880 Kelly's Directory of the leather trades under the heading leather goods manufacturers.
Wow!!! It didn't occur to me at first what this was until you mentioned that... my Aunt thought it was a wagon and even stuck a little feather bird in front of it where she had it displayed... lol too cool!
Well, there would be nothing wrong with displaying it as your Aunt did, Memories are what's it's all about.
I did find this info interesting, Could the address be a typo?

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Sydney John Saunders and Archibald Ke i t h, carrying on business under tlie style or firm of "Sydney J. Saunders and Co.," at 45, St. Mary-axe, in the city of London, Wholesale Export Stationers, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of January, 1901. I found that info as well AzTom, there is nothing to say that the Saunders didn't have more than one business endeavor.
Link to the Kelly's Directory, I've found these trade directories to be very accurate when doing genealogy work.

wow.. the address I put is definitely not a typo it's exactly as shown on the little trunk... perhaps down through the years they may have relocated to a different building... It would be pretty cool to find an ad regarding them but I haven't been that lucky.
LOL I told her about it and it totally blew her away... She's intrigued about now finding out about the treasures she has given to me... :D
