I'm just looking for info on an old fly reel that belonged to my Dad. I'm assuming he bought it back in the 1950's time frame, but not sure. It's a SouthBend reel, dark red (cranberry) in color and the only markings on it are EG 42 1140 and is in excellent working condition. I've found numerous 1140's with model letters of "C" & "D", but don't see that on my reel and was wondering what, if any, model letter or number it is?? The number 42 could actually be 4Z or maybe AZ, it's hard to see, but I think it's 42. It is not for sale as I still use it occasionally, but I would really appreciate any info anybody could send me about it such as the model, year, etc., etc.
