This crudely carved Elephant Candle Stick stands to top of trunk just under 6 inches. The length from front to back legs are 4 1/2 inches. The width from underneath back legs is 3 inches. I'm not really sure what this is made of but up just inside of trunk has a very coarse piece of what feels like slag & has a metallic sound not just to me. We are still unsure because when you look at the wear on the elephant it doesn't look like any metal. It's just one of the new lucky purchases that I have brought at a very good price & would really love to know more about it & it's history. I hope you also see the beauty in this piece.

Very nice. I think that elephant candle sticks are hard to find. I only have one.
Thanks I didn't even realise it was a candle stick holder I just thought it was to carry something in. Great to know now I just have to work out what it's made of it's not wood or metal even though it has that sound when knocked. It's not heavy either & were it's worn is light in colour but not white
