Wine, oil or water urn

This is a beautiful pink urn with a corked top. It must hold something that needs to be heated because there is a candle holder that fits underneath.

What on earth would be heated in an urn like this? It is pottery maybe California pottery era from the color and type. No writing anywhere to indicate what company.

The urn measures 14" tall and the metal holder is 7"
