Okay, so glass has never been my thing, but I'm liking it more and more, and am eager to learn, so when I see interesting pieces at a decent price, I'ma gonna git me some!
I am hoping some of you glass experts here in the C.W. family can help me learn what this process and glass type is. It has a millefiore pattern on top, and the pulled feather design is similar to some Kralik pieces I have seen It is 8cm H X 7cm W ,no markings visible.
Thanks for looking, &have a great weekend!!
Cheers!

Thank-you walksiftly, Moonstonelover, charcoal, bratjdd, and vetraio for the "loves"!!
This egg would likely fall into the classification of "Studio Glass". Basically, that's modern art glass; likely made within the past 25 years. Unfortunately, there are too many possible makers to hazard a guess at this time.
If you have not already done so, look very closely at the sides of the egg (along the bottom edge) to see if there's a signature. These are often signed on the lower side as opposed to the underside (bottom).
The cane at the top is interesting as well. Take a close look at the cane to see if there's maybe a tiny letter in the center of the cane. Millefiori paperweights are often signed within a single cane.
Thank-you twentiethc and Phill for the comments!
Very nice ! love it
Thank-you Mani for the nice comment!!
Thank-you Mike, GSO, gargoyle. Sean, petey, Phil, Atwood, Moonstonelover21, and Mani for the "loves"!! Cheers!!
HI B. not sure but would likely bet that this is the work of Craig Zweifel/ glass artist Look him up on the internet. In the meantime I will forward your quest to him and see if it is, but do check out his many web sites. He lives in Oregon with his wife. On the quest with you, Sioux
Thank-you Sioux for the information. As much as I'd like to believe this was by Zweifel, I've looked him up, and don't believe this to be attributed to him, for several reasons. First being no signature, and second is the design on his pieces have a lighter "feel" to them, and are the feather pull design technique he utilizes is different from this one. I wish it were his though, he's quite an important artist!
Thank-you for your input.
Bern
Bern you may be right for all the reasons stated but I just e-male them to see what they say. If not Craig Z maybe he or Anny can ID for the sake of art. Sioux
Thank you Sioux!
Bern, getting closer. Here is what Craig Zweifel's wife wrote back to me. "Nope. Looks like a Lundberg, or offshoot thereof.
That paperweight is fumed. You see how the whole surface is matte? On Craig's work, the iridescence is UNDER the pattern, so the pattern comes up shiny, against the matte background." So you are right. Let me know what you find out so I can learn the difference. Good luck Sioux "moogie" Rogers
Thank-you Sioux for the help with this piece. Being not signed makes it almost impossible to research, but it sure is interesting and a learning experience to try to identify the maker. The search continues!!
Thank-you Moonstonelover21 and inky for the "love"!!
Hi Bern, did you check out Lundberg yet? Would be interested n and will ask Craig
if he does sign all his pieces. Good for future looking.
It's possible Sioux, I've e-mailed them and we'll see what they say!
They do awesome work, great website too! Thank-you for looking into this for me!!
Your welcome......fun ID ing treasures. Sioux
