I have had this lovely pot a couple of years .I can't find any info on KOALA pottery. It's a ceramic pot with koala 8 etched in paint on bottom of pot.It has a 50's look to it.Being in Australia and researching Koala led me to Edwina Cowan who was Australia's first female sculpture. She went to Italy as a teenager to learn the art.
she returned to Australia in 1933 and opened up Koala pottery. This didn't last long and she then taught sculpting herself.
Any suggestions. That is the only thing I can find.
Hi. I think you may be meaning Theo Cowan.
Cowan, Theodora Esther (Theo) (1868–1949)

She set up the short-lived Koala pottery in 1933.
This looks much later than 1933.
Yes sorry Theodora Cowan-As i thought this was a 50"s inspired piece-still no Info can be found
I got it from a deceased estate where there were a lot of 50s kitch stuff as well as view ware souviners
still an unsolved mystery.we may never find the answer to......
Koala Pottery was at Oyster Bay actually near Kogorah run by Albert George Kerslake around 1944 and operated until his death in 1962.
Irene Daisy Lucas (of Daisy Ware) worked there for a while in the Fifties. This reminds me of her work.
I live in Australia and had a collection which I acquired from eBay largely in the naughties. I haven't seen a single one for sale since, and only sold my collection last year. After resisting numerous offers to buy single pieces, I found a lady who wanted to keep them as a set. I have some photos I took when they were listed for sale at the following link (except for your photo above, which is the first time I've seen another one): https://www.pinterest.com.au/BreverForeverrr/planters/koala/
