I bought this amber necklace together with the coral one on a flea market some weeks ago. My husband didn' like it but for the price they asked I just couldn't let it go.
It is in perfect condition (you cant see that because the tubes dont stay in one line, but it is) and you can even see some bugs in some of the 'tubes'. It still has the original clasp.
This butterscotch color is my favorite shade of amber. I dont really like the more dark see through variety with bubbles and glittery things.
The one thing I dont like about this necklace is you just cant align the tubes one to another! The thread is too tight. So maybe if I restring it I could solve my problem. For now I just leave it like it is.
I think its from the fourties or early fifties. What do you think?
Love the cone shape!! I think 1960's or 70's
valentino97, I agree with her....restring it where ii moves and put spacers in between...gorgeous!
Thanks valentino and moonstonelover for your loving and for your opinion. I like the idea of the tiny space beads, that might really work.
I just looked up fireline, and it looks just great. I have never seen that here, but I m sure I can find it somewhere. Thanks a lot!
Beautiful, some sunshine light in this necklace.
I love the shape.
My mum had one very similar and that was from the 40's.... love yours it's beautiful...:-)
Thanks Agram, DrFluffy, inky, Sean68, vetraio50 and mustangtony for loving and your comments my necklace.
Inky, I would love to see your mom's necklace. Thanks for your opinion.
