    (155 items)

I originally bought these to re'sell but like many of my collections they stay here in my home and are much loved.
In the 1950's & 1960's every child had a Koala made from kangaroo or wallaroo or wallaby fur as a teddy.
My favourite one is made from Wallaroo which is nice & fluffy as opposed to kangaroo which is much shorter fur.My fav is also musical and plays "Walzing Matilda" an old bush ballad. ( which is a poem that has music to it)Kangaroo hide is the toughest leather in the world. The vintage Koala including 1950's and pre this era had glass eyes. The noses were either leather or now rubber.
Also shown in pic is a Platypus made from red kangaroo fur.His eyes are missing but his feet and bill are made from plastic which shows he is much more recent.I hope you enjoy my furry friends.

I have a old koala with musical works in it, the stuffing is wood shavings would you know how old it is and is it of any value.
    4. ATTWOOD ATTWOOD, 11 years ago
The ones with woodshavings would be 1920s to 1940_ Kapok was used after that-He should have glass eyes too an leather claws of it has them-
They very greatly on value-depending on quality of fur-anywhere from $50 up
