I m a hoarder. And when I find these milk glass necklaces I just have to take them home.
I noticed Valentino has shown a similar one together with the green pyramid glass necklace.
My collection started with the colorful one I show in the first picture. I bought it from a lady who had collected only necklaces and she was getting rid of them. I bought it for two euro and I didn't even know it was glass. I bought the other ones in flea markets.
I think they are from the thirties to the sixties or something. Does anyone have an idea why I find so many of them? It seems every lady had one or more of these milk glass necklaces in her jewerly box. Where they used for marriage or something?

Valentino, you could be right. But I find 2 things on every flea market I go to: these simple white milk glass necklaces and simple black jet necklaces. Everyone seemed to have those in the old days. The black jet necklaces are for mourning, thats why I think these white ones are for marriage or a feast we know and I could translate as 'communion'. Its a festivity for every christian child. You get dressed in white and you have to go to church. Dont ask me what exactly the meaning of this festivity is, I m not baptised.
So pretty. I love them.

No davyd286 communion is when you are 6 and when you are 12 years old. Baptism is when you are a baby.
