Playing Cards like Dominoes

I recently acquired this set of 52 antique bone & ebony dominoes with four suites of playing cards. As on antique french cards, the royalties are named; Alexandre, Charles, Cesar, David, etc. Each tile is 1-3/4" long, 7/8" wide x 3/8" thick. I have been told that these set are very common in Europe but have been unable to find any information on similar items on websites or past auction sales. Hope you can help with any additional information or recommend where I can see similar items on the web. Regards
