Here you see part of my collection simple jet necklaces. I also have some french jet but I like the regular jet more because it has such a great matt finish to it.
I seem to find them on every flea market I visit. Death was everywhere in the old days. Some children never saw there mothers wear anything other than black. So I guess thats why I find so many of them.
Some people find it strange I collect mourning jewelry. But if you give me half a chance I will collect any type of jewelry I can find :-)
These jet necklaces are part of our past. think they are beautiful and I enjoy wearing them.

Lucky you! I learned about jet in one of my books and found it very interesting. I have not come across one single piece of jet jewelry during the almost two years I have been collecting. The only thing I found is some French jet - love the feel of it - but it's not the real thing. I guess I have to go hunting for my little treasures somewhere else:)
I forgot to mention: I love the last photo; it shows the glow.
