Don't know much about the cane except it caught my eye one day out at a sale. When I looked at both ends and saw they were original and then saw the 1917 I knew it would look great setting in the hall tree at home with the other canes and umbrellas. I won the bid and took it home. Not sure what the end is made out of that has the date on it but doesn't matter it has a new home now.
