trunk we bought at a garage sale last week. I think it is from the late 1800's, it came from England. everything on it is original, the lady we bought it from (in her 70'S) said that her great grandparents brought it over from England. it does have all the compartments inside of it as well. other than that I have no idea as to any more info or value. any ideas?

Beautiful crystalized camel or hump back trunk from late 1880's to early 1890's, judging by the hardware and crystalized tin. High quality trunk for its time. Even though it came from England it may still be American made, as many were sold overseas only to return. Value is a bit of a market area thing -- take a look at local classifieds for a general sense, and then know that yours is probably a better made and more desirable type than most. The latches are fabulous!

Gorgeous trunk! And, yes, please post some photos of the inside of it. Would love to see them.
