I thought people might be interested in seeing my lamp in a Helios-like decor. I found it at a flea market; the socket is a Weber with the date May 17, 1910. It still has its original silk-wrapped cord and plug. (I will obviously re-wire it - I restore old lamps for fun, too!) It is 7" high from the bottom of the glass to the top of the glass, and 10" in height total. I believe the decor is Kralik, but I haven't seen many of their lamps - or many Bohemian glass lamp bases in general. It is actually a bit more peachy in color than the deeper orange tones in my photo, and has a very pretty iridescence. Anyway, it is lovely and I am searching for the perfect shade for it.
OMG..beautiful!!!! XOXOXO
Hi Valentino, yes, it should be a pretty easy one to rewire. I am so glad they have good reproduction wrapped lamp wire now - it should look nice when it is all done. I don't mind lamps and installing lighting in my home, but beyond that I totally agree - I'll call an electrician! :)
I don't know how I missed this lovely thing...have you retired it yet?.....:-)
olebodie, thank you very much! :)
