This is my latest find and boy this was a doosy! The seller was asking $$$$ initially for the vase! I was drooling over this one for a while...and so finally made an offer! This measures 10+ and over 4.75 wide. This is my biggest purchase to date!!! I just got it and need to clean the metal rim! I was so excited that it just came out of the box! Eye, you are correct in your thoughts! I do not clean Antique jewelry and told the store not to clean them either...to keep the value. So I will leave all of the vases alone....one more is coming in Amethyst. Thank you Eye! XOXOXO
Eye, not at all....I am only knowing about Antique Jewelry...but even in Antique Sterling silverware ect...they do clean it up and polish it...to shine. So no...I did not think that this was like Antique Jewelry...that you leave it alone and let it tarnish naturally. I was thinking this like sterling silver pieces...that's all XOXOX

Eye4Beauty, I totally understand your point of view! When I got my first vase...I felt like a kid again! That I could dream and wish and think outside the box!!! And it was like Alice and Wonderland and things could take different shapes and feels! I too grew up with a "do not touch formal living room". Filled with Antiques from Japan and China! With guest candy..in fine bohemian cut crystal candy dishes...with 24k gold leafing ..simply a part of a huge set. And handmade satin couches.....ect. But all very formal and austere.....
