      I'd really check this out there was a guy that made 3 legged chairs in I believe N.Y. and they 're going for big money now. I don't know if this is one or not.

      I saw a similar one on the Antiques Roadshow. Check their site? I know the guy went gaga over a fancier version. from somewhere in the eastern US.

      That style of chair is known as a Sgabelle. The style is from the Italian Renaissance period and based on primitive three-cornered stools. There is a similar looking chair in the MMA dated 1490's.
