Does anyone have an idea of what yr or anything about this coke ice box is i know it never had a motor on it when we got it 10 yrs back it had wood coke bottle trays stored on the bottom please help im tired of dragging it around everywhere but i don't know anything about it or what to even do with it
Looks like you have a Westinghouse Standard cooler. Compare to this one, http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/28913-nice-old-large-store-coca-cola-cooler . The date stamp is on the inside on the liner in raised letters and numbers, example TN-41-5. That's the stamp on my Westinghouse Jr. which indicates it was made in Tennesse in May 1941. Nice piece.

I've been researching the pre-1960 Vendo chest type Tops. I agree that's it Westinghouse Standard Cooler. It was cooled by putting ice in the tank around the bottles. Yours has the word 'Drink' inside the envelope surrounding the Coca-Cola script therefore it was made from 1934 - 1938. It looks to be in great shape.

These coolers were also manufactured by Cavalier Corporation out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. I believe those with the inner production code stamps beginning with "TN" indicate Cavalier is maker. Westinghouse was located in Springfield, Mass. and supplied much of the eastern U.S., while the old Cavs are typically found down south.
Good point Daddy_Nobucks. I don't yet know when Cavalier started making Coca-Cola coolers. I think it might have been in 1941. Kelvinator may have been making them from 1934 to say 1940 and turned the business over to Cavalier, who uses Kelvinator cooling systems. Kelvinator had outside, metal, straps around the body. Anybody know how to clear this up?
I don't know what area the above unit is in.
I messed up. Cavalier used Frigidaire cooling systems.
I have a Standard Ice cooler manufactured by Cavalier in 1940. I have a copy of the maker's repair manual which covers 1936-1941. So they were making them pre-war. jeff, I can send you images of the manual if you send me an e-mail at daveq@wowway.com
