This is suppose to be a Louis Vuitton belt buckle on the under side where the belt clips to the buckle it has J D I would say this is the designers initials. I picked it up about 2 days ago for $3.00. If it is authentic it will be a good score so I'm hoping all you wise people out there with the knowledge can help me. I believe all Louis Vuitton has a serial number this one I cannot find only the initials. HELP PLEASE
I'm not a expert on LV or even a fan of it for that matter but have searched detecting fakes a few times. LV and other designer items will show up at the Antique mall and they won't allow selling fakes there.
Anyway I would question the "L" being misplaced and the "Classic Fashion". Does LV need to tell you it's classic fashion? Not sure, just some of my logic.
Thanks for the input it gives something to think about my man liked & wanted it so in some respects it doesn't matter what does is the learning. As for the Classic I figured it the same as any other thing or words they use I was thinking maybe it was just it's style name.
Zowie, I would agree that the lettering is so important. I should know buying so many fakes from sellers saying it was genuine....lol. XOXOXOX
I had no doubt that AzTom could be Wright in that respect at all because I haven't a clue & I have heard you speak of your miss fortunes in the past I cannot even find a look alike for it so was having doubts when there wasn't even a serial number as I believe from what you have said in the past that they all have one. The initials confuse me being fake why put that on at all. I suppose cons will go a long way to make things seem what they are not. I put it up here so I could have others confirm my suspicions because I couldn't even find something similar. They also had to bags without serial numbers which I didn't buy Mark just liked the buckle. I wanted to learn
