I impulsively bought this "item" at my local thrift store, not knowing what it was or it's intended function. Researching it has been difficult because I haven't a clue under which category to look. Even posted pictures of it on my Facebook page, asking for help in identifying it, without any success. I am sure that someone viewing this, can end the mystery, and I would so appreciate it!
It is approximately 7.5" H x 2.25" W x 2.5" D. The little pot is 1.5" H x 1.75 " Diameter. It is marked, "Leonard Silverplated - Italy", therefore, it must be silver plated over brass, since I can detect brass in some worn areas.
Now, how to choose a category to post this?
It looks to be an oil burner of some kind. Does it look like a wick would fit through the top?
It just found the exact one on ebay listed as a vintage brandy warmer holder burner bar ware.
