This wonderful vase took both! hands… because of its size and weight! to lift it out of the enormous!!! box it came in, all the way from the Netherlands…
It stands a whopping….approx… 35.5cm tall x 63cm around it’s girth ( 14” x 25”)…and weighs 5lbs 7.1/2oz. or nearly 2.1/2 kilos.
The décor… I can’t find anywhere..if anybody knows of it or has seen this décor could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated..thank you.....(Found..FLORA)
I still has part of its Bohemian sticker on it and again!... I can’t find this actual label to help me date it...there are a decent amount of wear marks on the base so has some! age.
Thank you for looking…:-)
Up-date..

Omg it's stunning!! Great score!! Looks Kralik. And the decor is wonderful :))))
Many thanks Moonstonelover21....:-)
Now that is a very interesting label, inky!
Nice big vase, too.
A local purchase?
stunning and I agree with Kevin interesting is right !!!
Love the colors...
I was looking at the label too - the language on the label certainly looks Italian.
Beautiful inky !!!!!!
Hi, the language is French, I think.
Weight of it and the language (now! that I am told what it means) certainly points in the Italian direction but! the fact it actually says Bohemia on the label and has the double looped arrow which appear on Bohemian glass labels.
The thing that puzzles me I have searched also! the Italian labels and most are in English and those that aren’t are! part English…also! I can’t find one Italian label with the exact same looped arrow.
Hello! czechman… my attribution was based on the double looped arrow also it says on the label Bohemia and! that I was told by a fellow CW that it may be a Kralik…I am always!! up for correction as I want to be correct or… as near correct as it can be… so if you can help it would be very much appreciated…I only buy what I like so I am always happy… having a correct attribution to a piece is just a bonus and a learning process for me!
Another thought...might the label be a traders label???..rather than a makers label??
vetraio50...Typing at the same time..how intriguing…loving this!!… I am just about to put a better photo of the label on, managed to gently scrape some of the foil back…:-)
The symbol on the sticker is that of Bohemia Crystal: Glassexport Co. Limited, I think.
I think the rest of it would be:
VERITABLE BOHEME - Garanti D'Origine - Tchécoslovaque
There's another image of an intact sticker here:

A better view of the label here:

That sticker would indicate the time when this was made.
Post War?
a bit of the history:
• 1945 decree of nationalization of large industrial companies.
• 1948 the state-owned Borocrystal company was established. It brought together approximately 55 small glass-making companies and the state-owned company Umelecke sklo. Also in 1948, the Skloexport (Glassexport) company was established. This company was responsible for the exporting of Czech glass for more than 40 years.
• 1974 the name Crystalex was introduced. The head office was located in Novy Bor. From there, factories in Novy Bor, Kamenicky Senov, Harrachov, Chribska, and the research department in Novy Bor were run. Glassworks Bohemia in Podebrady, glassworks Cesky kristal in Chlum u Trebone, glassworks Moser in Karlovy Vary and glassworks Moravske sklarny in Kvetna (which operated factories at Kvetna, Karolinka and Vrbno) were also operated at arms-length under the Crystalex umbrella.?
Thank goodness for the last link I had just lit the fire for the billy and thrown the damper in the camp oven..it was so long...:-)...you are amazing...:-)
Just time to add the pectin for the strawberry jam! Miam!
Sooo! the fact it doesn't have Crystalex on the label makes it between 1948/74..agree??...:-)
Noooo! heaps of butter and treacle...:-)
czechman...do you think I am safe calling it a Kralik then?..:-)
Hello LeahGoodwin...Yes! just now....I managed to scrape some of the curled foil back that had hidden most of the word ‘Boheme’ which I had seen before but left and have taken another photo showing it…what I would like to know is… can I safely call it a Kralik as Gary has also said that he thinks it is, he is the second person who has..what is your thoughts on this..:-)
Many thanks czechman...:-)
Kralik means Lenora (German: Eleonorenhain). There were three Kralik factories, it seems. They are part of the southern tradition of Czech glassmaking. The Lenora factory was taken over by the Germans in 1939 and they brought in Hungarian and Bulgarian workers for war-time glass production. It can be argued that Kralik existed until 1939. After the war is another matter. Records were bulldozed by the Communist authorities in 1973,
Here is a site with some great photos of the Lenora glassworks:

Well then Inky after reading about this amazing vase and all the great research done...I think you would have naming rights on this decor! It has no such name and not seen so I would think you could call it what you like :) Its stunning. Well done !

Up-date on my vase..for those that might be intersted..although the label is still a mystery to me, as in... different! to those I have seen from the glassworks of this time…
http://www.markhillpublishing.com/cambridge-glass-fair/
So different to the others in the Flora range!
Hmmm.

I found this conversation about Koudelka:
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?topic=37744.0
That took me to this link:

It's at the bottom of that page!
There is lots of interesting information on that glassmessage board reference.
Read it!
Schneider! Myra etc.
How's your German?
Non existent I’m afraid vetraio50...:-/
Mine is very poor. On the ipad the catalogue is unclear but I think the Koudelka and Flora is there. Case solved. But I think I have some research to do on this topic. Thanks for the stimulus!
If there was an award for finding information Vetraio just won it.... lol
On mine too vetraio50...it's my pleasure and it's me that has to thank you..S2G is write...:-)
This is a better way to view the article on Koudelka:

vetraio50..great work!...just need someone to translate it now..still reading through the message-board stuff...more about the blue one than like mine...:-)
Hi inky! I have typed out of the German text from the Glasrevue article.
I've put it through the translator and a lot of it is banal, but there have been some interesting items within.
vetraio50...If not an inconvenience, any chance of you sending via email to me..if you still have it, that is!...:-)
Sure!
Have you got my email address? Send me a message an I will return it to you.
Many thanks ..... Rucklstiltskin ~ walksoftly and aldo78... much appreciated...:-)
