Trying to research several old paintings by a female artist. Does anyone know the landmarks on this painting? The artist worked on government reservations for 40 years according to her grave marker. Seems to be two Indian canoes and a adobe structure but responses have been negative from New Mexico.
Papa,
This landmark does not appear to be an adobe nor do the paintings appear to be from the southwest. We have been in the art business since 1978.

Any guess as to region this may have come from? Dates pre 1921
LOVE IT papa!!!!!!!!!
This artist was classified as insignificant because she was a female. Government files deleted and orphan status unknown. Worked as a teacher, masters in English and major in interpretation and translation in Indian Territory orphanages schools. Newspapers have her teaching German in WWI and Japanese in WWII in Arizona camp. Also taught English to orphan train immigrants. Internet Art experts claimed it is female kitschy mass produced pity art sold in roadside vegetable stands and purchased out of pity for orphans and not skill or technique. No value even if the Indian orphans painted them. Pity Art!
