My town had their city wide garage sales this weekend and I was beyond excited to hit me some sales. I got all of this from the nicest woman who was selling off her Aunt's collection. (this was her second sales, and I almost cried when she told me this was the leftovers) Apparently her Aunt lived in Alaska and love to go to art shows...
First is a really cool pin. No marks but really cool abstract.
Second: enamel earrings marked Denmark
Third: Cool Deco copper necklace. The copper triangle and the red enamel triangles are actually separate pieces.
Last Pic: You can see some Laurel Burch earrings I bought for a friend, a possible jade bead necklace and (maybe I cut it off) a really fun 50s bracelet that I found at a different sale.
The prices were well well within my 5 buck rule, so I kinda feel like I got some super deal.
Love me some garage sales!
Wow... Fantastic finds... The copper necklace, I think. is Matisse... Sell around $100 on ebay...
these are very very beautiful Amberrose:)
and I love the pin... It's gorgeous.
Beautiful find my friend. I think you did great!! I would have picked those out too!! And cried knowing this was leftovers ;0
Dr, I ran into the Matisse name while researching but glad you confirmed. Totally thought of you when I was buying these! Pin's interesting not sure if it is made of paper clips or not
Big hug Sean!
Thanks Moon, I tried not to let her see me crack when she told me. Thanks!
So cool that I was in your thoughts!!
Dr, you and Valantino have me all cray cray with the jewelry now. :))
You did well I was looking at the first one & trying to work it out just had to pop in for a good look curiosity been put to rest.
Thank you everyone! Valentino, I thought...oooo copper!
Amber, it looks like some sort of green quartz. Jade usually has striations to the stone...unless is a really Antique Dark Jade ...that has been worn a lot....filled with natural oils from the wearer. Whatever it is...is really beautiful and since its hand knotted in between...the beads are well kept. Dating it around 1910-20's lovely!!
Moon, okay we are on the same page. I always look for knots and love the color. Really interesting regarding how to I'd jade. Thought long shot but knew nice. Yea! Thanks for your expertise.
Heck yea! Come over, stay in my spare room. You are welcome anytime.
Amber, I posted a jade necklace...but I like yours in colour!!!
Only catch, my kiddos are loud and early risers! But you are welcome anytime!
