    These two lovely vases arrived this morning, the fabulous colouring and the fact they were a pair attracted me to them...the near pure white background showing off the fiery red ‘flames’ affect was the other traction.

    Standing approx….5.1/2” tall or 14cm tall…. and have tons of age wear on the bases so am thinking c1900 or even possibly earlier??

      Looks like marble.
      Marmorierte is the term, I suppose.

      vetraio50... I agree they do have that oriental look to them… I did think that when I first saw them..simple but! very elegant. They are very lovely and much nicer in “real life”, the red is richer and deeper. It would be lovely to think that these were the décor ‘Marmorierte’ and find out the possibility of who made them…thank you once again for your time and links I haven’t sat and read the second link yet! but I will!....:-)
