This brooch is a mystery to me.
I think its handmade in the fourties or fifties. It looks like it is made from some pieces of galalith, some bycicle parts and some other bits and pieces.
Its big: about 8cm lenght in total.
I have a similar one with mother of pearl and plastic pieces. I think someone just had these pieces laying around in house and made this brooch. I won't wear it but I love it.
Has anyone seen something like this?
Thanks DrFluffy and vetraio for loving my brooch!
Cool! I just started a small collection of cake servers recently. They are great when you have a birthday. And my youngest daughter is turning four years old in a few weeks so they will come in handy.
You should really do something with those handles. i would love to see what you make out of them.
Moonstonelover,Valentino, DrFluffy and vetraio: I can just post the most bizarre items and you guys still love it! Thank you so much for that!
Wow! I'm speechless on this one. I kinda see a tennis racket??? Maybe an award?
I like the idea of repurposing as we'll but I have no talent for it and certainly no patience!
Valentino, my idea would be to make a "sun ray" clock with your handles.
Val, I love the idea of a mobile... I have a large box full of jewelry bits and pieces too, and one of these years my plan is to make other "non-jewelry" things out of them... I just run out of time every day. Wish there were 48 in every day!!!
Thanks Amberrose for loving my brooch
