My aunt was given these glasses by an old friend who was cleaning out her basement. We have no idea what the glass is called or when they were made. If anyone could give us an idea of what these pretty glasses are we would be very appreciative.
I love them but there is a lot of people on this site that could tell you I'm no expert but a name does come to mined Mary Gregory. As I said I am not a expert just learning or trying to myself.
Yes they are Mary Gregory glasses . Very nice and collectible . Zowie was right on ! :-))

Manikin - I know nothing about Mary Gregory glass so perhaps you can answer this question. How can you distinguish American from European and the fakes?

Thanks Manikin I know not your site but I was glad to know that I must be learning something I have also seen this in the magazines over the years but have not seen one for real. I think I might know something in a picture but come to the real object I don't know. I do love the look

This is Bohemian glass , I have a Bohemian crystal one and it is number as well with the sticker and signed with numbers. it is the Mary Gregory!! I Believe I have this same scene on my oil pitcher.
So Weirdpuckett...do you think this is not Mary Gregory glass? I welcome all comments...
This is more appropriately called Mary Gregory Style based on the painted child scene. This style of glass was done by a number of glass makers having nothing to do with the Mary Gregory of Boston Sandwich Glass. The coin/spot optic of these tumblers is fairly unique, and I'm guessing most likely Bohemian as well.
So TallCakes..is it a Mary Gregory or not.. and what is meant by Bohemian?
The painted graphic would make these 'Mary Gregory Style' as an accepted name, and likely from a Bohemian glass company.
