Again here is a doll my aunt has had for years; impeccable condition, however we don't know what kind of doll it is. It has porcelin face and hands and feet. If anyone could enlighten me as to what category she may fall in I would be appreciative.

Hi . She would be a contemporary porcelain doll. These were made as collector dolls and not really toys . She dates from 1980's to 1990's . Many many companies and doll artists jumped on the band wagon when these became popular . They were lead to believe they would increase in value like a antique doll. The difference is antique dolls were toys and not collected so they are not still around 100 plus years in the millions like these porcelain dolls which often were done in limited editions to further lead one to believe they would be very collectible . The Market was overwhelmed with them ,they were a big hit on home shopping channels and stores ,catalogs ect. Yours should have a name on back of neck or numbers . The bad news is in today's market they have little value and some were expensive at the time purchased . But supply, and demand dictates market and these have a bigger inventory and little demand . Your doll is a nice display doll and more important it was your Aunts and she loved it so to you it is priceless . I would enjoy her for that reason .

      Dear Mannikin,
Thank you so much for your valuable information that's exactly what I thought but I wasn't sure. I think we will just keep her

Manikin summed it up so well I found myself in a position the other day Lifeline had a few for sale but they had good money on them & didn't think they would mount to much even if they are beautiful. Manikin sure made it easy for me to explain it to my partner.
