I remember my Grandmother ironing with these when I was a little girl. She cooked on a wood cook stove and on ironing day the stove was hot and she heated the irons on the stove top. Switching back and forth to keep the irons hot. I thought she was the strongest person and that she could do anything. Lifting these irons today and thinking how she would iron most of a day I can see why she was so strong. Now we work out with dumb bell wt's.
