    I missed getting one of these about a year ago so was glad to see this one come up for sale.
    I would call it gold silberiris stripes but it may have an "official" Loetz PG or Ausf. name. Polished pontil. 8 inches high.

      Thanks for letting the one through last year ... they were a nice pair! Think these are going down (with me at least) as a "New wave" version of Metallin ... more on the basis of appearance rather than technique ...

      I almost bid on this one; glad you got it Frank. I like the shape more than the decoration, but it is unusual to say the least. Looks like there's a lot of carbon in this one (black specs). Do you think that was intentional, or just the old glass?

      SULLY : I think it's the nature of Silberiris. Sort of a "cypriot" effect.
