What do you call this item? it has to handles, it's not a vase what is it? bought it for 10 bucks , found this in a box that was wrapped in plastic and read Pig in a poke- meaning I guess you get what you get in the box for 10 bucks, there were a lot of great things in there.. I made a mistake this is brass I think instead of silver

from the photo you can't really see the green in the Jade , you see more of the white color ..
It's shaped like an urn. The design appears European . As does the silver work. Maybe an export item. However ,I'm far from an expert. How is the body connected to the base? How tall is it?
it's about 8 inches tall , I don't exactly know how the body is connected to the base , I was going to check it out, I forgot where I left it, when I find it I will give more info with photos .. I've been putting away a lot of my Asian items maybe I stuck it in one of the boxes ..
It's very pretty . I might have to leave it somewhere visible. Sterling and jade two of my favorites.

Nothing to do with this but I came across a huge oriental vase the other day & am hoping to score it with some luck. It's a shame for it to be were it is on veriandah going to get damaged if I get it will take photo as soon as possible, I'm sure you will love
