    Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me a wee bit about this piece? On the underside is written Rd 212684. It does glow green
in UV light. I got it from a deceased estate some years ago & I love it. I know very little about it & would be interested in any information.

Thank you so much for you help :-)

Does anyone know what this piece would be worth?

This is by the Davidson English Glass Company, the Pattern is Prim Rose, in Pearline Uranium Glass, Produced around 1885, Nice piece, Unique Shape, 90% of the Prim Roses ive seen were in the Boat Shape.

I'm really pleased you took the time to help me out & tell me some of
      the History of this piece.

This pattern was called "War of the Roses" by the late William Heacock, although "purists" often prefer to call it simply by its RD number (Registered Design) 212684, which was actually registered in 1893 - so you have the very accurate date here for the initial production of this pattern.

Primrose is the name of the colour - not the pattern. This canary yellow opalescent glass was called by Davidson, "Primrose" while their blue opalescent was called "Blue Pearline".

I've got the twin to your piece in both primrose and blue pearline, as well as a variety of boats in different sizes and a twig handled basket. It's beautiful glass - congratulations on your lovely piece.

great to know what this piece is & it's history. I think it's beautiful. It's very kind of you to take the time & write down all the info you have. THANKS AGAIN :-)
