Aquired in Germany, early 80's

My Family acquired this table back in the early 80's in Germany. Since then it has moved to England, then all around the US and was givin to me a few years back. I am really interested to see if anyone can share any information about it.
Maybe this info will help:
The table stands 29.5" tall and the table top is 32" square.
There are some markings under the table but I cannot see/find a manufactures name. The only other thing I can mention about it, is that it is pretty heavy. Made of Oak perhaps?
