Hello, I've had these in my collection for awhile and have not been able to find out who this artist is and what time period they were taken, they were done in Lexington Ky. I think in the mid 1870s. Anyone know who this artist was? Thanks
Isaac Carl Jenks is the photographer.
Here is a link to a discussion on him that includes mention of him being "the first outdoor photographer in Lexington" (NO source cited):

The hand written backmarks are unusual on the photographs. I would agree on time period of being 1870s to early 1880s.

The ancestory site also mentions Civil War service in the Michigan Cavalry.
Here is basic service information on him from HDS:

One final note. The subjects appear to be "trick shot artists". Many of these performed in "Wild West" style shows and some traveled on their own. I would suspect that both are in fact caucasian and Native Americans. I do not immediately recognize them (the man looks slightly familiar, but there were many long haired men doing this in the late 19th century), but with detailed research you may be able to identify both of them.
