This is a blue Bresse enamel, or émaux bressans. The French region of Bresse has been producing enamels for centuries, often reproducing the same patterns and models. I'm not sure if this piece is vintage or antique but I love it either way. It is marked with the 'crab' French mark for 800 or higher silver, the Diana head and a maker's mark. The deep blue purple enamel provides a wonderful background for the gold and white detail, ornamented with tiny red glass stones. It is just regal!
Gorgeous!
Beautiful deep blue color, love it!
I made already my comment when you posted it, very beautiful. Of course I don't know exactly the period of my Bressans brooch but the only thing I know is that this kind of safety trompet clasp became popular in the 1920's and is used till to day.
Beautiful colors:)
