A rare WW2 US Air Force (or Army Air Corps) Signal light designed for aircraft to aircraft or air to ground use in instances where radio silence was essential, and carried as standard equipment in crewed aircraft like the B-17, B-24 & Catalina. A Grimes Signal Light manufactured by E.A.Laboratories. A large, hand held lamp (either hard plastic or possibly Bakelite)
