I am assuming that this one is Kralik as it is very similar to my others posted some time ago! The only difference with this one is the size, it measures 20" around x 3.5" opening x 6" high. It was in a box of oddments of glass I bought at the 'house clearance' auction last week! It bears a couple of chips to the rim, but if I can find a metal frog to fit it all will be fine! If anyone knows of a large metal frog going spare, do let me know!!
Thanks for looking!!:)
stunning!!! and very very nice!!!!!
Lovely my friend!!!
Looks Kralik! XO
Hi JaN!........Yes! Kralik....different isn't it...love it...well done:-)
I would guess Kralik too. Nice detail on this one.
Really unusual and different. Love it! Good score :)
Thank you each and everyone who has left a Love or a comment!! Do appreciate it!!:)
I have the same vase in this size, and a smaller one, too. I have been looking for antique flower frog/collars for ages for a few of my vases - do they ever turn up for sale? (this vase would need a pretty darn large frog/collar!)
You know, on studying your vase, I think mine has a taller upper portion - there is a second entire 'swag' pattern. I wonder if these vases varied in where they were cut after being in the mold.
Hi Michelleboo7 I have no idea if these vases varied in neck length, we would have to wait for one of the experts on CW to answer that, but I suppose it is possible! I think this size is lovely, I too have smaller ones (not same pattern) but I just like the sheer size of this one! As for the frogs, do not come across many but I am always looking - and yes it would have to be a pretty darn large frog to fit it!!!:) Thank you for the love and comment, post yours too!
I'll try to take a picture tomorrow and post it. It is a lovely size vase - I think that is what attracted me to it. :)
Justanovice, I just posted my version of the vase for you to see.
