A dear friend from CW who knows that I love pearls I got this incredibly attractive pearl necklace gift. A fantastic gesture which I'm very happy.
I would therefore like to show this necklace and tell you about the pearls which this necklace was made.
The pearls from this necklace were cultured in freshwater
Since the beginning of the sixties, are cultured pearls in Lake Biwa in Japan. These Biwa pearls are so cultured freshwater pearls. They do not have a solid core, but a soft soft core, consisting of the tissue of a clam shell. They are often in mussels from the same species grown regularly to twenty at a time in a mussel.
Biwa pearls, all kinds of colors and shapes, they are often ovoid and they exhibit a high gloss. These coreless cultured freshwater pearls are now also many from China. In some cases they are indistinguishable from natural pearls.
This necklace is so attractive because two reasons:
1. The variety in colors from white greyish to peach
2. The variety in extravagant shapes.
stunning and beautiful !!!

AmberRose, thanks for the nice comment and compliment! I wish you a good weekend, we stay in touch!
There is an easy ways to indicate if pearls are genuine. Nature or cultured that's another subject.
You can feel it if you rub softly you teeth over the pearls. If it feel like stone they are real, if it's soft like plastic they are artificial.

Yes the tooth test always works. The number of grubby necklaces I have put in my mouth makes me shudder.
