This 1939 Singer Featherweight has the not often seen "Top of the Arm" Singer decal. The machine has all it's original attachments, manual, accessories and paperwork. It's case contains the rare #2 style "Corduroy Accessory Lid Liner" available as an option from Singer Salesman to help sell the machine.
It's a little treasure in our collection....

Featherweights are the best of all sewing machines I do believe!
Another Super "Rare" find! Stop it! Stop It! and with the sales date documentation...
This is first one I've seen! Thank you for picturing... You have a treasure there!
my grandmother who is 93 years old has this great old singer sewing machine. she still uses it to this day! she got it from her boss about when she was 15 years old. so that would make it around 78 years ago. its top plate near where the little latch that when unlatched allows you to lift the machine has what i believe to be the serial number. its ad470210. i did a little research and came up with : it was manufactured in 1932 in elizibeth new jersey and there was 2000 0f them made. does anyone have any idea what something like this may be worth. of course it is priceless to me and my family considering how many pairs of jeans its fixed, how many pairs of cool pajamas its made, curtains, tableclothes, pot holders, dresses, costumes(chewbacca and all) etc... it will surely stay in my family for another 80 years but just curious to know more about it.
Thanks for your commenst - much appreciated...
Pam
