(2 items)
This furniture has 3 drawers that pull out and they appear to be little tables. They have legs that extend out underneath them. They are about knee height. They are heavy, the furniture is heavy, and it's old. There is a number 5 carved on the inside space of where these items are stored. One in the first slot and another one on the second slot but not the third. An A/12 is written on the bottom of one of these pull outs and there is a number stamped on it as well but the number turns up no search. I have been looking for info on this item for months and cant fjnd a single item that comes close. I've typed in everything you can imagine. No, they are not tv tray tables or homeschool desks. People are just guessing I want someone who KNOWS. I have more pictures I can send but this only allows 4. I want to refinish this but not if it's worth $ as it is. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Nesting tables.
Looks to be 2nd half, 20th century. The last photograph with the number stamp, partial tag and odd looking underside (color) leads me to that conclusion.
Some additional close ups (could do a second posting with more photos) of the underside of a table showing the metal hinges, label, and wood color may help to confirm.

I thought nesting tables got smaller in size and fit underneath each other? These are all the same size. The tag was put on by person selling it for the owner through their consignment shop. The hinges has U.S. Patent number 2271332 which brings up the name A. Ellington 1940 when it was issued. But those hinges are not for the furniture identified here it is for a table leg fixture though. I will post more pictures.
beautiful is there any way up turn these the normal way?
Same concept and same name-- your table has three smaller tables "nested" inside one larger one.
The patent would tell you that these could be NO EARLIER than 1940.

Unfortunately I don't know how. They are right side up in my phone so not sure why they are sideways. So Scott, even though these only come to knee height they are still tables? My main thing was I wanted to know what to tell people it is and if it would be worth more as it is or if I redid it.
