I inherited these from my in-laws, unfortunately without any history of where they came from, which side of the family or even how old they were (and there is my mystery - are they Depression or older?)
I imagine finer times when ice tea, or a sip of port would be served in the parlor or a shady side veranda. One set is 5" high with daisies with the narrow bottom and widening toward the top. Another set a short juice sized etched with bunches of grapes with the small shape, then smaller yet etched grapes with a tapered shape. Lastly, oddly my favorite is a single straight sided with a grape design (which also seems older, finer and possibly handblown?) My own parents had some highball and daiquiri glasses etched with thistles that they only put out for guests. I guess I am crazy keeping this tucked away "safely" when I should be serving that ice tea and sip of port!
