from the serial number it dates to round 1911 so the century name is accurate finally! nice heavy timekeeper my favorite wearable piece specialy since i found the scary faced watch fob to chain it to,.was made when they REALLY made the movements pretty . nice lever set movement and looks realy good in the silly shell shaped bookend( on sale at aaron brothers framing and makes a perfect watch stand for big old watches
Love the fob shawnicus!! Watch is cool as well. You know that it started out life as a hunter and was recased sometime along the the line as an open face watch... We call em sidewinders...lol... Love it! Thanks for sharing and welcome to the board!!!!
thanks the first pic is from when i first got the piece,..was in an much more worn silveroid case and i stumbl;ed into a much nicer less worn les scratched identical case that had a busted up waltham movement in it so i swaped em out and soild the busted up waltham in the battered scratched faced case on ebay and broke even,..and ended up with a very nice sidewinder lever set piece,..would love to find a hunter case for it but that would be a full on luck thing so il just keep enjoying it as it is,..older you get the more you like old things that keep working hehehehe
stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!
