I received this teapot after my grandparents died. I've been trying to research how old it is and learn some more about it but I haven't had any luck. I have no interest in selling, I just want to learn about my teapot

I have seen this applied pattern on many Japanese pieces, usually from the 1900-30's. The decoration style is known as "Moriage", and was often copied in reproductions. I didn't have any luck finding any info on the mark either. It's possible that that is the retailer's mark, the department store or jewelers where it was sold. There's a website called thepotteries.org where you can e-mail the person who maintains it for free advice on Staffordshire pottery, where many English pieces originated.
