Does Anyone know where this lamp originated? It's 50 cm. diameter x 35 cm high as far as the glass structure goes. Designer or manufacturer? I have asked everywhere. Nothing resembles this piece. Gorgeous!!
There are 75 milky glass panels with green, brown and orange baked-in bubbles and metal rings ,which all - by hand - are wired together. The curator from the Leerdam glassmuseum in the Netherlands and even her connection, a well known taxateur Rob Driessen, could not bring clarity. Her remark was that it was most likely not of Italian origin, and perhaps from the south of Germany of Tsjecho-Slowakia. Because of the coloring I'd say it would seem 70's.

This lamp is from Mexico. Hand blown bubble glass lamps were popular in the 1970s. We had this exact light when I was a kid and we lived in Mexico City. If you look around online you might find more info. Here is one link I ran across with a very similar lamp in the same style with the same glass: https://www.etsy.com/listing/95728080/reserved-for-claudio-fernandez-vintage

      Hope ths helps.

Thanks missorf, Can you tell me perhaps the artisans name, group or factory where such items were made? Some say the lamps were made in the 50's by "candiles burmex"
